Message from the Director ...
On September 11, 2001 nearly 3,000 innocent people died in the most devastating terrorist attack upon our country. For the families and friends of those lost on 9/11, commemorating their lives in a meaningful way ensures that their memory will live on for future generations.
Scout Surge is a wonderful way to teach the nation's youth about our loved ones and the events of 9/11, so that future generations will "Always Remember.
I hope you will visit the 9/11 Living Memorial Project to learn about the lives of these amazing people and the wonderful foundations and memorials that were created in their memory. Take a moment to write a remembrance in their personal guestbook.
Today, with the use of Facebook and Youtube, you have an opportunity to join your friends at September 11th commemorative events around the country - visit our interactive map to find a 9/11 Memorial in your community.
In the days following 9/11, people of all ages came together as one in communities around our country. Join the Surge and show your patriotism by participating in a Day of Remembrance in your community. With your help we will Always Remember!
